Singing bowls are the principal auditory aid to meditation used in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. The bowl can be struck like a gong or made to 'sing' by rubbing the outer rim of the bowl with the striker or puja to produce a complex harmonic tone which draws the mind into a state of meditative focus. Our bowls measure 11.5cm (4")in diameter and are made in Nepal. The brass is left in its natural state rather than being polished and the appearance is of a pale golden sheen. Each bowl is presented in a gift box with a striker and mat |
