This athame is made to our exclusive design in a long-established knife-making workshop in Sheffield and, as you would therefore expect, is of the very best quality (as well as being locally produced and therefore without any air-miles issue).
The blade is of polished carbon steel and the haft (traditionally dark) of English walnut. The crossguard is polished brass and inscribed 'Harm None' (from the Wiccan Rede) and the pommel (bearing a pentagram) is nickel.
The athame comes with a black leather sheath, which has a loop for suspending from a belt, is embossed with the traditional benediction 'Blessed Be'.
This is the best quality athame you are ever likely to find and it will last a lifetime and bring joy to its owner.
NOTE: This ritual athame is not a merely decorative piece - the blade is sharp. We require confirmation that you are over 18 before supplying this item.

The Sale of Athames
Please note that in the UK it is an offence for any person under the age of 16 years to purchase most kinds of knives. This includes athames. As a responsible retailer we shall only supply athames and bolines to customers over the age of 18 years. By placing an order on our website the customer confirms that he or she is over the age of 18 years. We reserve the right to refuse a sale if we have reasonable cause to believe that the prospective customer is below the age of 18 years, or if we believe that the supply of goods to the prospective customer may infringe the Laws of England or present an unacceptable potential risk to the safety of others.
We also reserve the right to use any legal method open to us to establish a genuine age of potential customers in accordance and compliance of the Offensive Weapons Act 1996. This may include a search of publicly available information, such as the Electoral Roll or Directory Enquiries. The results of any such search will be held in the strictest of confidence solely for the purpose of ensuring the validity of age declarations
Safety Considerations
You should also be aware that under current UK law it may be an offence to carry a bladed or sharply pointed instrument in a public place if you cannot show good reason for doing so e.g. essential for work.
Use your athame with due care and attention, as you would with any other tool, and never use them for a purpose for which it is not intended nor specifically designed.
Never threaten anybody with a athame (even as a joke), as this is a serious Criminal Offence. And never leave your athame where it may be accessible to a child, and keep them stored securely: preferably in the sheath supplied.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you use your athame with due care and attention. We will not be held liable or responsible for any injury or damage howsoever caused.
